Singer A Pass has come out and warned fellow musicians to watch what they say especially on social media since whatever they say has an impact on the fans.
Through his Facebook page, the “Wuuyo” hit maker urged celebrities to respect their platforms and use them to positively impact their communities. He posted;
“As public figures we are a big example to others through our lifestyle and the message we deliver and now that we have social media so many people have something to say positive or negative, i just hope we check deep inside our hearts and see if what we are posting is for the good of our community or for the bad, because what we communicate matter and it impacts our society.
I personally have no right to tell you what to post or comment but ask yourself before you comment or post, what does one who reads what I have typed think of me…Because they say what you think of others tells a lot about who you are!!! Today you are abusing someone on social media Tomorrow you want his or her sister’s hand in marriage!!!
Watch your mouth and fingers. Today you are fighting wars for artists tomorrow they are slapping you for approaching them when they are chilling, (you can sell a never ending war to people who are not informed. Some Ugandans, some of these people you fight for want you to always think there is a war going on and they don’t want it to end and that’s how they stay relevant) all am saying is be careful and choose your fights properly.
But the best thing is to walk away from things that don’t matter and that includes me if you feel I don’t matter please unlike the page and follow someone that can build you as a person. Personally I don’t think we live by likes and comments brother and sister we have a life behind the computers and Smartphones.
So to whom it may concern, I just hope You know that you are an example for all those that follow you,Make a difference to your society because that would be great,You should be ashamed to die before you make an important or major contribution to the world!”
