Ugandan songtress Irene Namatovu, has released the stunning music video for “Zaabike”. The song is an homage to her lover, whom she vows to sacrifice her life for.
The “Zaabike” music video is cinematic storytelling fitting for the message behind the song.
Grounding on a greenscreen concept, renowned Ugandan videography Saint Jude Nyanja (Rosa Uganda) partially exhibited romantic sceneries just enough to match the song inspiration.
The spirited video reveals that dance and song are also the organic affection forces.
For over the years, 2018 AFRIMA award-winning singer is known for elevating notable intimate words, dwindling all couples’ hearts, through her songs lyrics.
For instance, she laid this in her first verse of “Zaabike” music video, “Troll me and take me. Wherever you go, I will go. I will be your shoulder till the day we cross apart. Sometimes visions and rapture of our wedding day burst on my sight in the middle of the night.”
“Zaabike” collaboratively houses an urban and Luganda traditional music production touch from producer Brian JJ.
The self-proclaimed ‘Queen of culture’ has always been fiercely vocal about promoting African culture and tradition particularly Ugandan through her craft, and this she didn’t forget in this new project.
Irene Namatovu enlivens the visuals with her undeniably seductive presence making “Zaabike” a powerful romantic music piece especially during this Valentines month.
