The Warafiki, Fenon Records’ all-female singing group, has clinched two prestigious nominations in the 2024 HiPipo Music Awards.
The trio, composed of Victoria Nalugwa (Tori), Damalie Nalugwa (Eyla), and Patricia Debra Nakalembe (Treezy), has swiftly gained recognition since its debut in late 2023.
Since their entry, Warafiki has captivated Uganda’s music scene with popular hits like Bwekati, Tetubafanana, and No Money No Love.
Their rise has been marked by a dedicated fan base and consistent releases that have impressed music lovers across the country.
The group’s success is evident in their nominations for two major categories at the HiPipo Music Awards.
Their song Tetubafanana is nominated for Video of the Year, where they’ll face competition from established artists like Irene Namatovu, Navio, Sheebah Karungi, John Blaq, and Spice Diana.
Warafiki is also in the running for Breakthrough Artist of the Year, contending alongside other rising stars, including Aaronx, Elijah Kitaka, Fik Gaza, Pretty Banks, Jamie Ategeka, Bridgette Mars, and Spyda Mc.
The 2024 HiPipo Music Awards finale will take place on Friday, November 15, at the Kampala Serena Hotel, celebrating its thirteenth edition and honoring outstanding contributions to Ugandan music.
