Wankulukuku Stadium refurbished ahead of the new season

As Express FC start a new era under the leadership on their new chairperson, Hon. Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi, Muteesa II War Memorial Stadium in Wankulukuku is currently undergoing refurbishment ahead of the new 2016/2017 season that will be kicking off in less than a month’s time.

The development was confirmed through a post on the Red Eagles’ official Facebook page: “Some refurbishment taking place at Wankulukuku, come the new season the stands will be having a new look.”

Wankulukuku stadium is home to the 59-year-old football club. The ground is also used by Kajjansi based club, Lweza FC as their home ground.

Meanwhile, Express on Thursday began to conduct a 3-day training-trail session for new players that wish to the join the club ahead of the new season. This process ends on Saturday, 23rd July when the club’s technical wing led by head coach Wasswa Bbosa, his assistant Hassan Mubiru and goalkeeping coach Abu Kigenyi select players that will be joining the team.
