Vivo Energy Uganda speaks out on fire outbreak at their depot

Vivo Energy Uganda, the distributor and marketer of Shell branded fuels and lubricants, has spoken out on the fire outbreak at one of their depots in Kampala.

In a statement released on Wednesday evening, the company confirmed the fire outbreak and said it had been obtained.

“Vivo Energy’s stringent emergency procedures were activated immediately and the fire has been contained within the location. We are working closely with the relevant authorities to respond to the incident and investigate the situation,” the company said in a statement released to media.

However, they were unable to reveal the extent of the damage caused by the fire or if any persons were harmed by the incident.

“We are currently unable to give any more details, however we will issue further information when possible.” the statement further reads.

The fire incident incident happened on Wednesday at its Kampala Depot located on 7th Street Industrial Area.
