Vipers stretch table lead as KCCA share spoils with Lweza

Vipers Sports Club maintained their unbeaten record at home after they defeated Bright Stars 1-0 at Buikwe Stadium in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) yesterday.

Summer recruit Erisa Ssekisambu was once again on the score sheet to help the defending champions walk away with maximum points, to stretch their lead at the league summit with 20 points from eight matches.

Elsewhere, KCCA shared the spoils with the Kajjansi boys of Lweza fc in a 1-1 draw as the Kasasiro boys hosted their game at an unfamiliar Luzira stadium.

Nelson Senkatuka was on the score sheet for the hosts in the first stanza of the game while Geoffrey Sserunkuma came through with goal that brought the two sides back to terms in the second half.

The result leaves KCCA FC second on the log with 18 points from eight games while Lweza FC are 12th with 10 points from nine games.
