With the 2015 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup successfully concluded, the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) will resume in full swing tomorrow with an epic clash between Vipers Sports Club and Express Football Club.

The league defending champions had six players on the Uganda Cranes CECAFA squad that returned from Ethiopia yesterday, namely; James Alitho and Ismail Watenga (both goalkeepers), Shafiq Bakaki, Erisa Sekisambu, Keziron Kizito and Farouq Miya.

All these players have been summoned back into training to prepare for their away trip to Muteesa II stadium, Wankulukuku against the Red Army who are yet to lose a single game this season out the 9 matches played.

On the other hand, despite being in second place on the league table with 20 points, Vipers have already lost two games this season (against Police FC 3-1 and URA FC 3-2), one more than they lost in the previous campaign.

Express stand 3rd on the log with 17 points, however their opponents have played a game more.

The last two meetings between the two sides ended in goalless draws last season.

Heading into tomorrow’s clash Vipers will be missing the services of defender Harid Lwaliwa and midfielder Nasir Mbabali who are nursing injuries.
