Table leaders Vipers Sports Club seek redemption in today’s clash against relegation strugglers Entebbe fc at Buikwe stadium.
Vipers will be eager to return to their winning ways after a winless run of three matches in which they sustained two draws and one loss. Rwenshama condemned Vipers to their first loss (2-1) of the season in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) on Friday at Nakivubo Stadium.
They were held to a one all draw by Soana at their home ground in Buikwe before the international break that saw the league take a 10days’ break. On return, they were held to a goalless draw by Bright Stars in Matugga.
Entebbe recently revived their hopes of playing in the Azam Uganda Premier League next season with a convincing 2-0 against league debutants Lweza on Friday last week.
Meanwhile, Lweza will host army side and Bombo based club Simba today at Wankulukuku. Lweza have had a poor run failing to register any win in their last five games, leaving them in a relegation battle with 22points in 12th spot on the table and just above their opponents Simba.
Today’s fixtures, AUPL:
Vipers vs Entebbe at Buikwe Stadium
Lweza vs Simba at Muteesa II stadium in Wankulukuku
Soana vs Sports Club Victoria University at Kavumba Recreational Stadium in Wakiso
