After news broke that 2016/2017 Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) top scorer Robert Ssentongo has been put on the market for sale as one of the nine players to be released by Uganda Revenue Authority Football club (URA FC), local rivals Vipers Sports Club and KCCA FC are on the striker’s trail.
It should be noted that Robert Ssentongo, a four time league top scorer fell out of favour with his bosses at URA due to indiscipline and absconding from training. He was suspended on numerous occasions by head coach Kefa Kisala but failed to adjust accordingly. The striker is however still under contract with the Tax Collectors and has been put on market for sale in this transfer window.
Rumours from the league champions camp (KCCA) and runners up, Vipers who have both had goal scoring problems in the recently concluded league season suggest that the two giants have picked interest in signing the star.
We will keep you posted.
