League defending champions Vipers Sports Club today host Express Football Club in a do-or-die title clash in the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) at Buikwe Stadium. The clash comes at a time when both sides are still hoping to over take League leaders KCCA FC.
The George Nsimbe-coached side come into this game on the back of a goalless draw with the Kasasri boys on Friday last week. On the other hand, Wasswa Bossa’s Wankulukuku based side managed to beat Bright Stars on Saturday by 2-1.
Speaking ahead of the clash, coach Bossa said: “At the start of the season, our target was to finish in top four but with the title in sight now, we are giving it a go,” as quoted on the club’s official Facebook page.
“They are fantastic a side, reigning champions, playing at home and have quality players but we have a more experienced side to earn us all points,” he added.
The Red Eagles are in second place with 48 points after 26 games while Vipers are in third place with 46 points having played a game less compared to their opponents.
