Vipers’ forward Sulaiman Mutyaba is set for a second spell with Sudanese side El Merreikh. Mutyaba whose goal is to play again for the national team believes that reuniting with Merreikh will be a big step in that direction.
“I needed a big push to get back to the top and I think this pending move will help me achieve that,” the forward told local newspaper, the Daily Monitor.
Mutyaba guided the Kitende based side who now host their home games in Buikwe to the 2010 league triumph before returning to help them win their second title last season.
He recently returned to Vipers Sports Club in the January transfer window after a stint with Express Football Club. He is however yet to realise his full form.
“The Merreikh officials have a lot of expectations from me and I’m going to toil hard and not let them down,” he added.
Mutyaba who has not featured for Uganda Cranes since May 2013 could reap about $20,000 (Shs 66m) from the transfer deal.
