The first round of Uganda Premier league (UPL) will end tomorrow as all the 16 teams come in action at the different stadiums around the country.
At Buikwe stadium, table leaders Vipers Sports Club will host Fred Kajoba’s Bright Stars in a bid to keep their top spot before the Christmas-New year break of the season. Vipers’ head coach Edward Golola has held the 2010 league champions top of the table with 33 points from 14 games, winning 10, drawing 3 and losing just one. Meanwhile, the Kawempe based side Bright Stars who suffered a 1-0 loss to SC Villa last week are 8th on the table with 20 points from 14 games.
Wasswa Bbosa’s Express will host relegation struggling side Soana FC at the Mutesa II stadium in Wankulukuku who are 14th on the table with just 9 points from 14 games. Express who are currently struggling to find their form have dropped to 7th place on the table with 21 points. They haven’t won a game in their last four matches with the most recent being the 1-0 loss to URA last week on Friday at Metha stadium in Lugazi.
Elsewhere, bottom placed Rwenshama will host the Bombo based army side Simba F.C at the Ssaza grounds in Mityana. Simba are 12th with 14 points while Rwenshama have continuously remained bottom with only 8 points from 14 games.
