Vipers' Ismail

By James Robert Kayindi

After holding defending UPL champions Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) to a 2-2 draw at home in Buikwe, the unbeaten Vipers will now return home to face off with Kiira Young today (24th Oct.),  who have had a rough start to the new season.

Vipers are yet to lose a game in the new season after winning three and drawing just one in their four league opening games. Head coach Edward Golola will be looking to his star striker Mike Mutyaba who scored a brace against the reigning champions on Tuesday at Buikwe, Farouq Miya and Keziron Kizito who are all on spectacular form to tame the stubborn Kiira. He will however be missing the services of skipper Joseph Mpande.

After their exquisite start in the new season, Vipers are 3rd on the league table with 10 points from 4 games while Kiira Young stand 12th with 5points from four games. Vipers have a chance to claim second spot on the table if they win against Paul Nkata’s Kiira bringing down Police F.C who are at 12points in the spot.

Baker Lukooya will be the man to watch on Kiira Young’s side after his brilliant form that he has displayed so far this season while Samuel Kayongo and Moses Ndaula will also come in handy to inspire the rest of the team.
