Table leaders Vipers were held to a one-all draw at their home ground in Buikwe by struggling Soana. Joseph Mpande was the man on Vipers’ score sheet while Soana’s goal was scored by Samuel Oguttu. The draw keeps the log leaders up with 45 points from 19 games and remain unbeaten.

At Kakindu stadium in Jinja, a resilient Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) overcame a stubborn Bul fc with a 2-1 victory. The visitors started off brightly with an early lead in the 3rd minute through left back, Brian Ochwo. Bul showed their charisma as they leveled matters through their left back, Hakim Magombe just ten minutes after Ochwo’s strike.

The game dragged on with a 1-1 score until the 85th minute when Morley Byekwaso’s side restored their lead through striker, Fahad Tokko from a penalty spot before being sent off for misconduct.

Elsewhere, Angelo Lonyesi’s Police fc managed to come from a goal down to bag all the three points with a 2-1 win against Fred Kajoba’s side of Bright Stars at Kavumba Recreational Stadium in Wakiso. Umar Kasumba and Peter Ssenyonjo scored for Police while Jimmy Lule scored for the visitors (Bright Stars).

In Lugazi at Mehta stadium, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) sent off army side Simba with a 1-0 triumph thanks to Robert Ssentogo’s only strike, helping the tax collectors to bounce back from that 2-1 defeat against Orlando Pirates in the CAF confederations cup in South Africa last weekend.
