Uganda Premier League’s (UPL) unbeaten Vipers continued with their sensational run of the season as they overcame a stubborn Rwenshama with a 3-2 victory at their home grounds in Buikwe on Friday.
The 2010 champions seem eager to have another test of the silver ware after missing it for a couple of seasons while Rwenshama continued with a pitiful run in their debut season of the UPL.
Last season’s Most valuable Player (MVP) and former Express star Allan Kyambadde was once again on the score board for the second time in two consecutive matches after his brilliant and first strike of the season against Police on Tuesday.
Farouk Miya who was making his return from national duty with the Cranes also managed to make it to the score board while Kazibwe Ismail sealed Vipers scoring account to hand Edward Golola’s side an 8th win of the season.
Malingumu Julius came through with a brace for the bottom side Rwenshama though it wasn’t enough to earn them a point leaving them at 2 points from 10 games. Vipers extended their lead of the UPL table with 26 points from 10 matches.
