Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) defending champions, Vipers Sports Club make a short trip to Kakindu Stadium on Tuesday to play Bul FC on match day four with an aim of winning the fixture to go top of the League table.
Vipers have already shown the ambition to defend the league title after claiming two victories in their first two games against Sadolin Paint who they beat by 3-0 before their 1-0 victory against JMC Hippos.
On the other hand, Alex Isabirye will want to avoid frustrations with his side Bul fc who are yet to pick a point from their first two matches. The Jinja based side lost 1-0 to both URA FC and SC Victoria University in their two opening fixtures respectively.
Vipers will be without their star player and last season’s MVP, Farouk Miya who is part of the Cranes team that travelled to Comoros. The Buikwe based side will also be missing Patrick Sembuya, Alfred Leku, William Wadri, Saddam Juma, Musa Malunda and Siraje Sentamu who are all nursing injuries, according to the club’s official website.
This means that responsibility will now rest on the shoulders of midfielder, Keziron Kizito and new signs; Brian Nkuubi, Erisha Ssekisambu and John Semazzi.
“BUL is a stubborn side that uses a lot of energy, we need players who have the same kind of approach but when they can still maintain the Vipers’ style of play. We have those players who can hold the ball and be with it to deny the opponent a lot of possession,” head coach Edward Golola told the club’s website.
Vipers are second on the table with 6points while Bul fc lie pointless in 14th spot.
