The Blu*3 Reunion Concert over the weekend was marked by a heartfelt moment when singer Vinka paid tribute to her mentor, Jackie Chandiru.

Vinka recounted how Jackie Chandiru and her management approached Vinka’s mother, seeking permission for her to join them as a dancer. This moment, Vinka shared, was a pivotal start to her career in the music industry.
“It’s to my pride and gratefulness that years later, we reunited on stage as fellow stars at the Blu*3 Reunion Concert, both now as established singers,” Vinka expressed.
She elaborated on the significant impact of Chandiru’s support in a heartfelt social media post. “Years ago, as a young girl from school with curfew at home, Jackie and her manager took time to meet my mother and asked her to allow me to work with her as her dancer. Sharing the same stage with you as a musician last night meant a lot to me. THANK YOU SO MUCH, Jackie Chandiru.”
