Vin Diesel has paid tribute to his Fast and Furious co-star Paul Walker.
The actor gave his first statement via Facebook, following Walker’s sudden death due to a car crash in Santa Clarita, California on Saturday (November 30).
“To live in the hearts we leave behind, is not to die,” Diesel said citing a poem by Thomas Campbell.
“The #SamsungTwitterParty is back! Get ready to party the night away come 19th December at Zone 7 with fellow tweeps. Entrance is 15,000shs. Call 0775439894 for details. Great music and drinks.”
“Pablo, I wish you could see the world right now… and the profound impact, your full life has had on it, on Us… on me…
“I will always love you Brian, as the brother you were… on and off screen,” Diesel continued, referring to Walker by his Fast and Furious character’s name.
The tribute comes after Walker’s family thanked fans for their support and asked that any donations to the late actor be made to his charity Reach Out Worldwide.
“It’s comforting for them to know that the son, brother, and father they love so much is equally adored, respected, and appreciated by so many,” a family statement read.
Walker appeared as Brian O’Connor in all but one of the Fast and Furious movies, and was working on Fast and Furious 7 at the time of his death. Production on the film has been delayed.
