Vin Diesel has revealed that he visited Paul Walker’s mother in the wake of his Fast & Furious 7 co-star’s death.

Walker and a friend were killed in a car crash in California last weekend, leading Universal Pictures to shutdown production on the next Fast and the Furious sequel.

Diesel has since written a message to his fans on Facebook, in which he honoured his bond with Walker.

“The #SamsungTwitterParty is back! Get ready to party the night away come 19th December at Zone 7 with fellow tweeps. Entrance is 15,000shs. Call 0775439894 for details. Great music and drinks.”

The actor wrote: “When I heard, I immediately flew back to California, and went directly from the plane to his mother’s house…

“I thought they needed my strength, but realised when I got there and broke down before his family, that it was I who needed theirs.

“His mother hugged me and said, ‘I am so sorry’… I said, ‘Sorry? You’re the mother who lost a son?’… She said, ‘Yes, but you lost your other half’.”
