The just concluded Kampala Restaurant Awards held at the Serena Hotel Kampala recognized the achievements and excellence in the Restaurant and Hospitality Industry in Kampala in fifteen (15) different categories.
Liquid Silk won the Best Bar Food category while Olives Pizzeria won Best Pizzeria category. Fast food chain restaurant KFC was nominated for Best Food on the go, traditional bakery Bbrood in the Best Value for Money category while Nawaab and China Bowl were nominated in Best Indian and Best Asian categories respectively.
The public along with a panel of expert judges comprised of food lovers, food critics and experts in the industry voted for winners in each category. The awards are testimony to Kampala’s vibrant restaurant scene which is now a booming industry in Uganda’s economy.
The Kampala Restaurant Awards were organized by Hellofood in partnership with Done Deal and MTN and sponsored by Shell Gas, Pepsi, Brussels Airlines and Robertson Winery.
