Socialite Zari Hassan has finally spoken out on Ivan Ssemwanga’s “secret child”.
During Ssemwanga’s burial last week, it was revealed that he had had another child, unknown to many, besides the three boys he sired with Zari. One of the late tycoon’s relatives revealed to mourners that Ssemwanga had a “secret” daughter, Winnie.
Zari has now come out to set the record straight. In an interview with Ayo TV, a Tanzanian cable outlet, she clarified that Ivan had only three sons and the other girl in question was just his niece.
She further revealed the girl’s father was killed at their home during an attack by armed robbers, and it was after this incident that Ssemwanga adopted her.
“She belonged to Ivan’s brother Brian. We adopted her when she was about 8 and she is like 18 now,” Zari said.
