Singer Weasel Manizo has publicly apologized to Juliet Zawedde, a close friend and caretaker of his ailing elder brother, Jose Chameleone.
This comes after leaked audio recordings surfaced online, suggesting a heated verbal exchange between Weasel and Zawedde, leading to his emotional distress.
In the recordings, Weasel is heard in a troubled state, pleading to return home to Uganda to reunite with his wife and children.
The incident raised concerns among his fans about his well-being.
On Thursday, Weasel released a video expressing regret for his actions and apologizing to Zawedde for his emotional outburst.
His statement aimed to clear the air and restore peace.
It should be noted that Weasel traveled to the United States last year as a caretaker for Jose Chameleone, who was receiving advanced medical treatment.
This trip was made possible through funding from President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
Reports indicate that Juliet Zawedde was also involved in Chameleone’s care, with some speculations linking her to the singer romantically.
Despite the controversy, Weasel’s apology signals an effort to mend relations and focus on his brother’s recovery.
