With the COVID-19 pandemic still with us, and the night life on halt, Kampala has turned from a city that never sleeps to one of crazy happenings. It seems like every new day brings it own set of bizarre stories.
The latest in the crazy, crazy Kampala tales is one of a man who drove a Grader to an interview.
When he was called for a job interview at Hima Cement recently, Paddy Kitandwe who at the time of the call was working at a construction site, rather than lay down his tools instead carried them to the interview. To put it more aptly, Paddy drove his Grader to the interview.
According to a video which emerged online, Paddy is seen tumbling out of the Grader with his papers in hand soon after arriving at Hima Cement offices. He at least remembered to change from his work gear and dress up in a suit.
Job things are not easy 😂. This nigga showed up to the Hima office for an interview in a GRADER 🙆🏾♂️. Apart from blocking me, banange RT until we find him & he gets the job 😂🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 pic.twitter.com/53Am9MAlZK

It is said that Paddy had been out of gainful employment since the COVID-19 pandemic hit and when the big opportunity came calling, he wanted to impress.
His antics have left many on the internet shocked and left questioning his choice of transport means. They argue he could have used more convenient means.
Although the Grader was not fit for purpose, he definitely made a lasting impression.
