Rapper O.P.U recently released his new video – Drink party. Like the title suggests, Drink Party is a song about the fine things in life; drinking, partying and dancing.
Sasha Vybz delivers his midas touch of gold. Skimpily dressed girls, toy water guns, grand bungalow, bouncing castles, crowds paint the idea of a drink party. The bright colours add life to the vibrant moods. While this is an idea of a drink party we seen in foreign videos, our very own filled with more laughter than games would have fitted the bill.
However, we all want to feel urban and uptown so the empty red plastic cups scattered all over the videos wont hurt the eye much after all champagne was popped in one scene and in the other the entire house was dead drunk lying helplessly on the floor. Oh, I almost forgot, somebody got laid too.
However, its a drink party. Where the liquor at? Where the various species of party animals? The ones that puke, pass out or trade punches. Where are the kind getting “down there” in a toilet?
Drink Party was dominated by day scenes typical of a kindergarten party despite the skimpy girls. The night scenes were rather short and less of the typical drink party scenes we drunkos are accustomed to. Was this a tea party? Well, the song is fast paced and vibrant one for party moods. Lyrically O.P.U delivered.
