Ugandan singer-songwriter, Oma Afrikana, born real names Kafeero Wumalu has today released audio and video for his single “Nyonyi Nyange” remix featuring 2023 Grammy Award nominee Eddy Kenzo.

Just like the title attests, Oma Afrikana and Eddy Kenzo’s single is all about personal truth, love and confessions to this gorgeous lady.

The single’s storyline is literally an insider gist between dudes expressing their affection for their love interests.

“Nyonyi Nyange” is a definitive look at the trendy Afrodance soundsystem, showcasing a future looking, deep Afrobeat sound, in the single produced by SteyN.

The second verse features vocals from Oma Afrikana, who delivers a heartwarming message in English, as Eddy Kenzo responds in Luganda.

Directed by Elly V. Mugisa (Black Magic Films), the music video emphasizes storyline by allowing them to shine in their element and on the streets and beach of Guda – Entebbe.

Raising star, Oma Afrikana who hails from Bugembe – Jinja showcases the best of the best when it comes to a new dynamic crop of artists ready to take over the Afrobeats scene globally.

Oma Afrikana says, “I’m impressed by my strides to glory, collaborating with Africa’s finest. Big up to Eddy Kenzo. I am looking forward to this new and fun ride of Nyonyi Nyange, and I can’t wait to keep thrilling my fans with more.”

With such a phenomenal banger featuring Eddy Kenzo, it looks like Oma Afrikana has also pulled trigger to the top of the music scene like his colleague under Black Magic Entertainment Martha Mukisa did when she collaborated with the BET Award winner on song “Sango”.

With a full release today, “Nyonyi Nyange” serves to wet the appetite for something much bigger, a new movement ready to storm the dance music scene.
