In a surprising revelation, renowned Ugandan media personality and model Anitah Fabiola, whose real name is Anitah Kyalimpa, has proven that she is far from being the stereotypical “Slay Queen” often associated with a glamorous and carefree lifestyle.
Fabiola, who has frequently been labeled as a typical slay queen, recently stunned the world by showcasing her skills as a responsible housewife. In a video shared on her Twitter handle last Thursday, Fabiola was seen actively engaged in the preparation of a traditional Buganda meal known as “Luwombo.”
The video depicted Fabiola’s focused and committed approach to household activities, challenging the common perception of her as just a fashion-forward socialite. Notably, Luwombo is a traditional dish in the Buganda culture, emphasizing Fabiola’s connection to her cultural roots.
Taking the opportunity to send a message to her fellow slay queens, Fabiola issued a warning, stating that those who marry Baganda men should be prepared to learn how to make Luwombo and embrace other traditional practices. Her statement emphasized a shift from the stereotypical image of slay queens to individuals capable of adapting to traditional responsibilities.
Anitah Fabiola, who is married to the affluent Mark Ronald Mukiibi, tied the knot with him in December 2022, almost a year after their engagement in the Maldives in 2021. Leading up to the wedding, Fabiola introduced her fiance Mark in a private Kuhingira ceremony, showcasing their commitment to traditional customs.
The couple’s union has continued to captivate attention, with their journey inspiring many others to consider and appreciate the institution of marriage.
