Uganda continues to be an education destination for the region. South Sudan students continue to be one of the countries that benefit from this. In line with the growing population of students from South Sudan, Victoria University has planned an education career fair in South Sudan from 3rd December – 7th December 2015 at Juba Regency hotel.

The aim of the Education fair is to offer career guidance and first-hand information on Victoria University. The university shall have presentations on different courses offered plus useful information the students require to study and live in Uganda in particular Kampala.

Students will have an opportunity to engage with staff from Victoria University. Among those expected to attend are Secondary School students, Parents/Guardians/Head teachers, Principals and School owners from Juba and South Sudan.

Among key activities: Career Guidance, on spot admissions, presentations on the different faculties and what they have to offer.

In a press briefing the Vice Chancellor Dr Stephen Robert Isabalija said that it’s key that, “we offer quality education to students from Uganda and the rest of the world, as a university we offer the students a great learning atmosphere with our state of the art facilities, well stocked library, Wi-Fi in a fully stocked computer lab. Our central location makes accessibility to school and the entire city very key, this makes the learning environment conducive for the students. The students also have an opportunity to engage with students from all over Africa meaning they are well prepared to compete globally. We are therefore very excited to engage with the all stakeholders from South Sudan after a lot of online engagement through our social media platforms. We shall be able to share experiences and answer any questions they may have regarding higher education and ensuring they are well prepared for a successful career.”
