Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) recovered from two consecutive defeats since the start of the second round of the Uganda Premier League (UPL) as they thrashed Police F.C 3-1 at the Kavumba recreational Stadium, Wakiso to register their first Victory since Nsereko took over as new club chairman earlier in January, 2015.

Enterprising midfielder Muzamiru Mutyaba led the score sheet when he netted from a well taken free kick in the 3rd minute of the game before Daniel Nsubuga doubled the early lead six minutes later.

Mutyaba was yet again on the score sheet in the 30th minute as he sealed off his brace of the evening. Ronald Nyanzi scored the only consolation for the Cops. The victory lifts the learners to 11th spot on the 16 team log with 18 points from 18 matches.

In the heart of Kampala at the Nakivubo stadium, a rejuvenated Rwenshama shared spoils in a one-all draw with visiting side Bright Stars. Jimmy Lule scored for the guests as Rwenshama’s Robert Kimuli netted a late equalizer to give a point to the league debutants as they recovered from a 2-1 defeat against SC Villa in the Nakivubo derby last week.

Meanwhile, Jinja based side Bul F.C returned to their winning ways as they condemned struggling Entebbe F.C  to a 2-0 defeat at the Kakindu Stadium. Tito Okello and Edgar Luzige scored for the home side.

Match Day 19 results of the Uganda Premier League:

Police F.C 1-3 Sports Club Victoria University
Rwenshama F.C 1-1 Bright Stars F.C
BUL F.C 2-0 Entebbe F.C

The League will continue this Friday with three games to be played:

URA Vs Lweza – Mehta Stadium, Lugazi
Express F.C Vs Simba S.C – Wankulukuku Stadium
Kira Young F.C Vs Sadolin Paints F.C – Nelson Mandela Stadium, Namboole.
