During the weekly press conference at the FUFA house in Mengo, Kampala, the quarter final draws for the 2014/15 Uganda Cup draws were made for the last eight teams that are still in the competition.
The 2013 Uganda Cup champions of Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) will take on eight time winners SC Villa who last won the annual tournament during the 2008/09 season and are yet to win any silverware since then.
Uganda Premier League debutants of Lweza fc will entertain Police fc with both sides looking forward to winning the competition for the first time. Jinja based side Bul fc will welcome the Kawempe boys of Bright Stars.
In the other draw, the defending champions of the Uganda Premier League and eight time winners of the competition Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) will face off with Kyambogo University who edged Sadolin Paints in a penalty shootout to reach this stage of the competition.
The draws were graced by FUFA competitions secretary Ali Mwebe as he emphasized the rules and regulations at this stage of the competition. He also did not forget to mention that two regions have submitted their bid to host this year’s finals.
“Kitara and Western bid to host the finals but the final decision will be announced after a thorough vetting process,” Mwebe remarked.

Lweza Vs Police – Kajjansi Uganda Clays Play Ground
Sports Club Victoria University Vs SC Villa – Namboole
Bright Stars Vs BUL F.C – Matugga
Kyambogo Vs KCC – Kyambogo University
