Five time champions of the Uganda Premier league (UPL) and last season’s Uganda Cup winners, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), travelled to Madagascar yesterday for their second leg against ASSM Elgeco Plus in the CAF confederations cup.
The tax collectors managed to win the first leg at the Mandela National Stadium by 3-2 thanks to a goal from substitute Frank Kalanda and Robert Ssentongo’s brace on the evening of Friday, 13th February, 2015 despite being down to 10 men.
The team jetted off yesterday at 7:00pm aboard Kenya Airways, according to the club’s official website. Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) clubs’ president, Mr. Denis Mbidde travelled with the team as the leader of delegation.
URA will need at least a draw to qualify for the next round.
