URA set to play Tanzanian giants Simba SC in international friendly

Four time league champions and three Uganda Cup winners, Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club (URA FC) are set for a preseason game with Tanzanian giants Simba Sports Club. The two sides will face off on Saturday 15th August, 2015 at Taifa Stadium, Dar-es-salaam.

“I’m delighted we have been able to secure this international friendly match against Tanzanian giants Simba SC, it will help our players get more exposure and competitiveness as we get closer to the start of the season,” Moses Basena, URA FC head Coach is quoted on the club’s official website.

A contingent of 19 Players, 6 club officials led by Club General Secretary, Henry Mayeku has today morning departed for Dar-es-Salaam.

The pre-season tour to Tanzania comes just two days after the Tax Collectors concluded their West Nile tour during which they played to a one-all draw with Onduparaka FC at Green Light Stadium, Arua before edging Paidha Black Angles by 1-0 at Barokoro-Zombo Grounds. Villa Oromchan was the goal scorer against Paidha Black Angles.

Tanzania’s Simba SC recently condemned SC Villa to a 1-0 defeat on Simba day.
