Singer Jose Chameleone who was given until Friday to clear his tax arrears or risk losing his car has finally secured it from Uganda Revenue Authority.
The badilisha singer who was disrupted by URA agents as he tested sound systems for his show on March 28th has won the tax battle for his Escalade. URA was demanding 42 million shillings in tax arrears, he managed to clear the biggest part of the money, however, his car was impounded pending clearance of the remaining amount.
An excited Chameleone told us that his car is back on the road after taking care of his obligations as a citizen. “It’s good to pay tax and on time that’s how we can collectively grow our Nation. My Cadillac is back on the loose!” the Kilimanjaro Music Awards nominee said.
