Uganda Revenue Authority Football club are set to return home today afternoon after a 5-day preseason tour in Tanzania.
“URA FC flies back on Tuesday from Tanzania, the team will leave at noon and reach Entebbe at 03pm(fast jet),” reads a confirmation statement published on the club’s official Facebook page.
The Tax Collectors were on a tour in the neighbouring country where they played two friendly matches against Azam Football Club and Simba Football Club on Friday 12th and on Sunday 14th August respectively. Both ties ended in one-all draws with new recruit Bokota Labama scoring against Azam while Elkanah Nkuggwa netted the one against Simba as the Kefa Kisala-coached side concluded their preseason friendlies in preparation for the new season.
The 2014 Uganda Cup winners who finished off in 5th place last season on the 16-team log open up their new campaign against league debutants and 2016 FUFA Big League champions Kirinya Jinja SS on Friday 19th August. URA will make a short trip to Bugembe Stadium in Jinja to face off with the new boys.
