Uganda Revenue Authority FC condemned Maroons FC by 3-0 at the Mehta Stadium in Lugazi on Friday evening to climb second on the Azam Uganda Premier League table.
Goal poacher Robert Ssentongo continued to assert that he is the right man to lead the Tax Collectors’ attack when he notched them into the lead in the 6th minute of the game.
Maroons managed to contain the piling pressure from the hosts to keep it 1-0 by halftime but failed to do the same in the second stanza.
January signing from SC Victoria University Nicholas Kagaba doubled the lead for the Kefa Kisala-coached after thirteen minutes into the second half while Kingongo Ronald put the icing on the cake when he scored the third goal of the evening with just two times left on the clock to a full 90 minutes.
The result elevated URA to second place on the 16-team table after 18 games with 31 points and above Vipers SC on a better goal difference while Maroons remain bottom of the log with only 9 points from a similar number of games.
