The conflict among Ugandan musicians regarding the UGX 13 billion stimulus package from the government continues to escalate.

The funds were allocated to the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), and the debate over their distribution remains heated.

In a recent development, UNMF President Eddy Kenzo released a list of artists who have received their shares from the Federation’s Savings and Credit Cooperative Organization (SACCO).

Notable recipients include Nina Roz and Ziza Bafana, both of whom have been vocal critics of Kenzo’s leadership within the musicians’ body.

In a TV interview, Kenzo stated, “All these got their money and signed. I have evidence. The ones who have not received their money are those who haven’t shown up, but I know they will.”

Nina Roz Criticizes Government and Eddy Kenzo Over Delay of Copyright

He emphasized the importance of the government’s financial support for the SACCO and reiterated his commitment to his role despite ongoing criticism.

Kenzo remains focused on his responsibilities, undeterred by dissent within the musical community.
