The National Culture Forum (UNCF) has imposed a six-month performance ban on singers Pallaso and Alien Skin.
The ban follows their involvement in a violent altercation that escalated into bloody physical clashes, including the destruction of property and injuries to individuals, which also involved their respective gangs.
According to the UNCF, the suspension serves as both a penalty and a warning to other artists, urging them to avoid similar behavior in the future.
This move comes just days after the body representing event promoters in Uganda issued a similar six-month ban on the two musicians, prohibiting them from being booked for any events during this period.
The violent incident has drawn widespread criticism from government officials, fellow musicians, and other stakeholders, who have expressed concern over the negative image the two artists have portrayed.
The UNCF’s action underscores the importance of upholding the integrity of the music industry and maintaining a peaceful environment for all involved.
