Latest news reaching our news desk is that former NTV news anchor Nancy Kacungira has joined BBC. Nancy broke the good news last evening in a tweet that read; “Really lovely news to finish of a packed day! Nancy @kacungira, who won BBC #KomlaDumor award earlier, is joining the BBC! Great news!”
Kacungira’s journey to BBC started after she won the inaugural BBC Komla Dumor award for best journalist in Africa, an award that was formed in remembrance of the late Komla Dumor who worked for BBC Focus on Africa.
Nancy will be joining the likes of Uganda’s Allan Kasujja, formerly Capital FM presenter, and now working on BBC radio.
