Three time commonwealth gold champion, Moses Kipsiro beat Scotland’s Callum Hawkins and Kenya’s Japhet Kori to win the 2015 Great Scottish Half Marathon on Sunday.
The 29-year-old Ugandan ran for 1 hour, 2 minutes and 18 seconds beating his Scottish opponent Callum Hawkins by 24 seconds to emerge winner.
The marathon was a build-up for Moses Kipsiro as he continues to prepare for the forthcoming 2016 Olympic Games that will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2016.
The 5000m meter runner seems to be in a transition to the 10,000m category in which he intends to vest his full commitment.
Kipsiro failed to qualify for the World Championships that were held in Beijing in August this year after finishing fourth last year during the National Half Marathon Championships that were in Mbale.
The marathon also sends a big signal for the return of Kipsiro after a poor display at the Lausanne Diamond League (DL) in Switzerland month where he finished 14th.
