KBC captain and bantam weight boxer Nasir Bashir is in the ring today at the Commonwealth games quarter-final clash with English man Micheal Conlan. Conlan, a bronze medalist at the 2012 Olympic Games comes into this as the favorite but Bashir will be hoping to get into the medal bracket after overcoming the Tanzanian Patrick Emilian on 2-1 decision in the earlier round that saw him progress to the Quarter finals.
Fazil Juma also comes up against Sulemanu Tetteh of Ghana in the light fly weight category. Juma beat Zambian Lumbe Bwalya to qualify for the quarter final stage in which he is to face the Ghanaian.
