The Uganda national female basketball team, the Gazelles are set for action today evening against South Africa in the AfroBasket Women’s Championship in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
Having lost all their first three games at the tournament, the last being against the hosts of Cameroon who thrashed them 86-34, Uganda’s quest for a first win is expected to be higher than ever before when they take on another win-less side.

The Gazelles lost 70-39 to Gabon in their opener before losing again against Mozambique on Friday.
South Africa too, lost to Mozambique 86-43 in the last game after failing to win against Mali and Gabon in their earlier games.
Timothy Odeke’s side will have to pull up their socks when they face off with the Group A bottom team, South Africa who will also be on the hunt for their first victory at the competition.
After today’s action, the Gazelles will play Mali in their final group A game on Tuesday 29th.
