In the recent past a group of concerned local music fans petitioned continental music channels including Trace TV and MTV Base to give Ugandan music more airplay on their stations. It now appears their effort was not in vain as more Ugandan videos continue to receive ample airplay on the continental stations. Some of the songs currently enjoying rotation on Trace TV include Maurice Kirya’s Busaabala, Chameleone’s Bwerere, Eddy Kenzo’s Zigido, Bebe Cool’s Byebyo and Radio & Weasel’s Juicy among others.
