Night of Stripes, an event that celebrates Ugandan music and culture, returns this weekend. Now in its 4th edition, it will be held at Valhalla bar on Saturday, March 26th.

Besides promoting Ugandan music and dance, this monthly event is intended to create a behavioral change that will make it cool to enjoy Ugandan music in all its variations and flavors.

“Our objective is to provide a platform for the Ugandan artists. We believe they are not given a chance to compete on the international level despite being very talented,” Valhalla’s Hillary Baguma explains.

This month’s edition promises to be a fun filled event, kicking off early in the afternoon with several games like Omweso, Kwepena, Ludo and Dulu, among others. Uganda’s top deejays will later take over playing Ugandan Afro pop, kadongo kamu, Dancehall, Hip Hop, Traditional songs, and contemporary hits.

In keeping up with the event’s theme, dress code will be colours of the Ugandan flag or any cultural attire.
