Ugandan drummer Roy Kasiika did what he knows best at a jazz concert hosted by the Italian community at the Italian ambassador’s residence in Kololo as part of celebrating the Italian cultural week known as “Lingua E Cultura Italiana”.
Roy Kasiika performed alongside Italian pianist Andrea Pangani, who was the headlining act. They performed original compositions like Parrot Blue Eyes, L’ernia di joau among others and also did Italian ballads from the same artist.
“It’s a pleasure to work with someone who can understand the Italian melodies like this and can get the rhythms right with just a day of practice. I am very grateful,” Pangani praised Roy after the performance.
Meanwhile, Andrea Pangani along with two other Italian singers are working on a collaboration with Uganda’s Baximba.
