Yesterday was a big day for all the fathers in the world, the biggest father’s day party in town was held at Cayenne Bar and Restaurant in Bukoto and while the father’s danced and dinned the evening away with their children thanks to MTN Uganda, Ugandan celebrities too celebrated their fathers online.
Mwooyo singer Maurice Kirya kept things techy as he talked about his dad and Google.
“I lost an argument to my dad, thanks to Google for proving him right, he read the papers but I could tell something was bothering him about Google, so I asked ‘Mzee Kiki?’ (old man, what’s up?’)…he looked at me and asked ‘Kati omuntu abeeraawo ku Google nga alinze okuddamu byoobuuza? (Is someone always seated on the other side of Google waiting to answer questions?) LOL, Happy Father’s Day to my Dad, Mr Tonny Munobbi aka Mr Tee.” He posted online.
Gagamel CEO Bebe Cool on the other hand revealed how he missed his father as he grew up. He said that he never grew up together with his dad Mr. Bidandi Ssali and never got a chance to get that paternal love. He said this during a performance for fathers at Cayenne yesterday.
Leone Island boss Jose Chameleone couldn’t help but thank his father Mr Mayanja for the gift of life. “You grew me and natured the man I am today, you will always be my inspiration and faithful friend .Happy Father’s Day to my DAD and all Fathers worldwide.” He said.
All in all, it was a great day for the father’s world over.
