Ugandan Award winning movie, Wako premiered on Thursday last week at Theatre La’Bonita. Wako was named the Best Feature Film of the year 2015 in the Arusha International Film Festival in Tanzania weeks to its official premiere in Uganda.
The movie was premiered at a red carpet ceremony that featured big names in the Uganda movie industry who included Sam Bagenda alias Dr Bossa, Mariam Ndagire among others who gave the ceremony a great honour. The movie is aimed at creating awareness about cervical cancer.
Ziwa Aron, one of the producers of the movie said it was a great pleasure to have won the award at the international level, while speaking at the premiere.
The movie DVD was auctioned at 2 million Uganda shillings at the premiere.
