It is no secret that Blankets and Wine has firmly cemented its place as the most anticipated event on Uganda’s social calendar.
The highly anticipated 18th edition slated for this Sunday, August 20 at Lugogo Cricket Oval has even more reason for revelers to throng in large numbers. Not only is the artiste line-up impressive with an interesting blend of musical genres. For the first time, there will also be a beach at the venue courtesy of Uganda Waragi Coconut variant. Yap, you heard it right. There’s going to be a beach at Blankets and Wine.
Rhona Namanya, the Uganda Waragi Coconut Brand Manager says that the underlying aim is to give revelers an experience of a lifetime.
“Our ambition is to deliver an experience that our consumers will live to remember. During the event, you will have the opportunity to enjoy good music, chill out and feel the sand on your feet, in a beach setting,” she said.
Namanya added that there will be lots of interesting games and activities as well as signature cocktails for consumers on offer at the beach.
We’ve also been informed by organizers that there will be a social media competition on whoever can slay with a UG Coconut. Just take a picture of yourself posing with a bottle of UG Coconut and tag #GoLoco4Coco and you may be a winner.
So, if you’re torn between going to the beach or attending Blankets and Wine, there is good news for you. The beach will be headed to Lugogo Cricket Oval this Sunday.
