The Uganda Travel Month, a domestic tourism drive, is back!
The tourism initiative by The Pearl Guide Uganda, a local tourism marketing firm, returns for its 2nd edition during the month of October.
The 2017 edition was launched at a ceremony held at Prunes Restaurant on Wednesday evening where one of the guests walked away with a Uganda Travel Month ticket following a raffle draw.
Speaking at the launch, Philip Kalibwani of The Pearl Guide emphasized the need for Ugandans to get involved in telling their own tourism story.
“It is time to get Ugandans involved in telling our own tourism stories, and Uganda Travel Month is that opportunity.” He noted.
The Uganda Travel Month offers Ugandans an opportunity to tour and experience different local tourist attractions across the country through a 4 week circuit at discounted fees.
This year’s edition will start in Jinja on September 30, and then head to Lake Bunyonyi during the Independence weekend, and later Queen Elizabeth in Kasese, and end in Murchison Falls on 21st October. The touring groups will indulge in different fun activities like water rafting, zip-lining, and game drives among others.
Uganda Travel Month is supported by Nile Special, Total Excellium, and Radiocity.
