Uganda is set to take on Rwanda again in the return leg of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
The Uganda cranes who now have the home advantage will be hoping to repeat their first-leg triumph when they face Rwanda Amavubi Stars at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende this Sunday, 10th October.
Uganda’s Israel based striker Azizi Fahad Bayo scored the lone goal that gave Uganda victory in the first leg which was played at the Stade De Kigali, Nyamirambo on Thursday.
The Cranes head into the game second to Mali on the Group E standings after collecting five points from three matches while Amavubi are last after managing just one draw from their last three matches.
Uganda kicked off their campaign to reach Qatar with a 0-0 draw against Kenya in Nairobi, picked a 1-1 draw against Mali in Kampala and then defeated Rwanda 1-0 in Kigali. On the other hand, Rwanda also suffered another 1-0 defeat against Mali in their opener in Morocco before drawing 1-1 against Kenya in Kigali.
