The Uganda national beach soccer team, the Sand Cranes will be in Zanzibar on Saturday, 6th December for an international friendly in preparation for the AFCON Beach Soccer Championships that will be hosted by Seychelles in April 2015.
Harunah Kebba, the head coach of the Sand Cranes has already summoned a team squad consisting of 17players to play against Zanzibar. The team will hold several training sessions and then have a test match at Lido Beach in Entebbe before leaving the country.
According to reports from Uganda’s football governing body, the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA), the team will have an official flag-off at the body’s headquarters in Mengo, Kampala and travel to Zanzibar on Tuesday, 2nd December 2014.
