A study done by HelpAge International has placed Uganda in number one position as worst country in which to grow old.

Other countries in the top ten worst countries included Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Zambia and Tanzania.

The study recommended that for people above 60 years of age, Uganda spelled nothing but doom. It noted that the elderly are the most ignored section in these countries.

The study said that once one gets past 50 years of age, they should fly to other countries to enjoy the rest of their lives.
